Friedemann Kiefer

Friedemann Kiefer is a Professor of Intravital Molecular Imaging at the European Institute for Molecular Imaging at the University of Münster. A trained biochemist, he earned his PhD from the I.M.P. Vienna, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at the Ontario Cancer Institute and the Samuel Lunenfeld Institute in Toronto. After a 19-year tenure at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Biomedicine in Münster, his group transitioned to the newly opened Multiscale Imaging Centre (MIC). There, he continues his research into the lymphatic vessel system spanning development as well as healthy and diseased states in adults, utilising an imaging-centered approach.
