Maike Frye

Maike Frye is Professor for 3R Models and Vascular Biomedicine and Head of the Section for Vascular Biomedicine and the Hamburg Center for 3R Research (HC3R) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany. Her research focuses on how endothelial signaling and mechanical cues regulate cardiovascular and lymphatic vessel development, remodeling, and function in health and disease. The Frye Lab combines advanced imaging, tissue mechanics measurements, single-cell and spatial omics technologies, and innovative in vitro models to uncover fundamental mechanisms of vascular and cardiac biology.
